//Nordstrom Catalog Fall 2013

Sunday, June 30, 2013

I'm extremely excited to be back home from school for the summer, especially since I'm able to receive my mail (well... catalogs)! I could have them shipped to my school address, but it never seems to be as convenient. Anyways, the Nordstrom catalog for all of their pre fall merchandise has finally come in, and I'm blown away by how well it is put together. The buyers could not have done a better job than they did, and the marketers know just how to make you feel that you need everything in the catalog.

On another note, I've been meaning to post about Savvy. I've been a customer of the department for a few years now, and my mom has been a devoted shopper of theirs for decades. Their quality and customer service is unmatchable, and their products have always been two steps ahead in the fashion game. While their items have always been less affordable to those who are not willing to pay a pretty penny for clothing, their Savvy department has recently been reconstructed to carry more affordable pieces for a larger audience. It is truly amazing, and the new brands of Savvy are perfectly integrated into the catalog between high and lower priced items. The quality is clearly still high, as trendy brands such as ASTR are making statements for the company. I love how you can tell even by the photos that the materials are not 'cheesy' or overly done. I know so many brands that take some trends too far, and skimp on the quality of materials, use too many studs, too many cutouts, acid wash, etc, or a combination of the like. They've done a really great job... Check out the Nordstrom catalog when you get the chance!

I'm going to make more of an effort to post, as I am transferring schools in the spring semester to pursue fashion merchandising, and I couldn't be more excited! I just need to get more into the whole blogspot thing, and get the hang of what to post and what is interesting! Stay posted,
