A little bohemian, a little chic.

FP Summer 2014 Internship

Thursday, November 14, 2013

URBN offers many summer internships at home office in Philadelphia for Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People. (For those who do not know, they are all owned under the same company, along with Terrain and BHLDN.)  I decided towards the last minute that I wanted to apply for fun, and one of the requirements is to create an inspiration board relating to a certain position. Since I chose the stylist option, I figured I would go with what I know and use Polyvore.

I put together an outfit appropriate for the chilly weather we've got going on, working with some of the great fall-to-winter layering pieces that Free People offers. While this outfit seems a bit 'busy' laid out like this, the heavy use of black and a neutral salmon balance out the outfit as a whole.

The striped sweater worn over the lace bralette and ruffled slip works perfectly with plain skinnies and patterned thigh highs. My favorite piece- one of the many gems I've been eyeing- the army green military parka, evens out the outfit and also adds another element to the outfit with the embroidered sleeves. And of course, a hat, necklace, and rings are added to complete the look!
